The QIT5 is the single-phase AC electrical panel designed to protect residential photovoltaic systems up to 5 kWp with 1 inverter. It integrates a 1P+N Class A RCBO, a single-phase Class II surge arrester Imax 20 kA and an IP65 class II enclosure, for reliable protection of the inverter and system on the AC side. Compact dimensions 164 × 200 × 116 mm, supplied pre-wired and ready for installation, compliant with CEI EN 61439-1/2.
AC panel, not an interface panel
The QIT5 is an AC protection panel: it does not include the CEI 0-21 interface relay, which is mandatory only for systems connected to the low-voltage grid with power above 11.08 kW. For a 5 kWp system it protects the inverter against overloads, short circuits, earth leakage and grid surges.
Frequently asked questions
Does the QIT5 include the CEI 0-21 interface relay?
No. It is an AC protection panel. An external interface (SPI) is required only above 11.08 kW; for 5 kWp systems, check with your local distributor whether the inverter has a certified internal interface.
Can it be installed outdoors?
Yes. The IP65 rating and class II construction make it suitable for outdoor installation, protected from dust and water jets. Shelter it from prolonged direct sunlight.
Is it pre-wired?
Yes. The QIT5 is supplied pre-wired and ready for installation: on site you connect the inverter AC cables and those to the distribution board, following the supplied diagram.
