ZCS 120 kW DC charger dual CCS2 Pure
120 kW DC fast charging station with two CCS2 connectors up to 1000 V, 5 m cables, 10.1" touch display, start via RFID, app or Plug&Play, MID meter and OCPP. The most powerful in the ZCS range. Part number ZVD-120K-POWER/P.
The ZCS Azzurro ZVD-120K-POWER/P is the 120 kW DC fast charging station in the Pure version, with two CCS2 connectors and 5 m cables. It is the most powerful configuration in the ZCS range and the best suited to charging hubs, service areas, shopping centre car parks and fleet depots where vehicles stop briefly and must leave charged.
Why two CCS2 at 120 kW
CCS2 is the European standard for DC charging: the EU AFIR Regulation requires it on publicly accessible DC charging points, and all new electric cars sold in Europe use it. With two CCS2 the station has no "second-class" connector: every modern car fits. The 200 to 1000 V output serves 800 V architecture cars best, as they use the power with lower currents and less cable heating.

Public use: AFIR requirements not to forget
For new public charging points of 50 kW and above, the AFIR Regulation requires ad hoc payment by payment card, transparent pricing and the sharing of availability data. The station starts charging via RFID, app and Plug&Play and uses OCPP: for a public service it is paired with a management platform and a compliant payment solution. For private or company use, RFID and app are already enough.
Frequently asked questions
What grid supply is needed?
At full power the station draws 190 A per phase at 400 V, about 130 kVA. In many countries a medium-voltage connection with its own substation is required above roughly 100 kW: this is the cost item to assess first with your grid operator.
Do two connected cars both charge at 120 kW?
No. The station's total power is 120 kW and is shared between the connected vehicles: one car gets all the power, two cars split it.
How long is a typical stop?
With a car that accepts 120 kW, a 15-20 minute stop adds roughly 30-40 kWh, i.e. 150-200 km of range. Cars with lower charging power stay longer, but the station is never the limit.
Does it work with commercial vehicles?
Yes, with all vans and light vehicles fitted with a CCS2 inlet. For heavy vehicles with very large batteries, power should be sized against the stop times of the shift.
How is it installed?
On a concrete platform, with an underground supply line sized for 190 A and upstream protection designed according to IEC 60364-7-722 and local rules. Installation requires lifting equipment for the station's 228 kg.
