The Icierre Total Box TBTF 2/2 1000V is a combined switchboard bringing together, in a single unit, every protection a three-phase PV system with two independent strings up to 1000 Vdc requires: it safely manages both the PV module strings (DC side) and the three-phase grid connection (AC side), and also integrates the in/out switch for the production meter.
Why do you need a two-string three-phase Total Box?
Every PV system must be protected against overcurrent, surges and insulation faults, and must be safely isolated for maintenance. With two independent strings, each input needs separate protection and isolation, while the three-phase side needs a four-pole residual current circuit breaker and a 400V surge arrester. What is the production-meter in/out switch for?
It allows the production meter to be inserted into the AC line without adding a separate board: the line runs into the meter and back out towards the connection point. This is useful where generated-energy metering is required by the network operator or an incentive scheme, and it also makes bypassing the meter for maintenance straightforward.
What is the difference between the TBTF 2/2 1000V and the TBTF 1/1 1000V?
