The QCM-511706.1 is the MR WATT / SecSun PV field combiner box for large-scale systems, with 13 DC string inputs up to 1000 VDC. It combines and protects the strings with sectionable fuse holders and a Class II DC surge arrester, in an IP66 enclosure for outdoor installation.
When to use it
With 13 inputs, the QCM-511706.1 suits large commercial and industrial PV plants where many strings converge toward the inverter or the DC section of a collection board. Each string is individually protected, so a fault isolates only the affected string without stopping the whole plant.
FAQ
Is the box pre-assembled?
Yes. It is supplied with fuse holders, DC fuses and surge arrester already fitted. On site you connect the strings to the inputs and the output cable to the inverter, following the single-line diagram.
Is IP66 suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. IP66 gives full protection against dust and water jets from any direction, suitable for outdoor installation. For very aggressive environments (salt mist, chemicals) a reinforced anti-corrosion treatment is recommended.
Who should install it?
Installation and connection to the PV system must be carried out by a qualified installer, in compliance with the applicable standards (including CEI EN 61439-1/2 and EN IEC 62548).
