Interface panel 70 kW 125A CEI 0-21 IP66
Three-phase interface panel from 56 to 70 kW, 125 A, compliant with CEI 0-21: the largest size in the low-voltage series. SPI relay calibrated and tested at the factory with SPI test report included.
IP66 class II enclosure with 96 DIN modules (540 × 640 × 240 mm). Check on the distributor's quotation that the connection point is in LV: in medium voltage a CEI 0-16 solution is required.
The QAC 56/70 kW interface panel is the largest size in the low-voltage series: 125 A, compliant with CEI 0-21, with a calibrated SPI relay and test report included. It is the panel for larger industrial systems, those where photovoltaics does not supplement the company's consumption but covers the main share of it.
Seventy kilowatts in low voltage: check the quotation first
A 70 kW system delivers about 101 A per phase at 400 V. The 125 A protection covers this value, but the real point to clarify before purchase is another: at this power, low-voltage connection is not a given. Many distributors prescribe medium voltage already below this threshold, depending on the capacity of the local grid and the power already available at the POD (delivery point).
If the connection quotation indicates medium voltage, this panel cannot be used: a CEI 0-16 compliant panel is needed, with main relay protection on an MV circuit breaker and a completely different architecture. It is the most expensive purchasing mistake in this power range, and it is avoided by reading the distributor's quotation before ordering.

Same enclosure as the smaller size: what changes inside
The box is identical to that of the 45/55 kW model — 96 modules, 540 x 640 x 240 mm, IP66 class II — but the difference lies in the installed devices: going from 100 to 125 A means larger circuit breakers and contactor, which dissipate more heat in the same volume.
This has a practical consequence: at this power density, the installation position matters. A panel exposed to the sun throughout the summer day can reach internal temperatures that reduce the effective capacity of the thermal devices and accelerate the ageing of the relay. A north-facing wall, a canopy or a ventilated technical room are not an aesthetic detail but a reliability choice.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know whether I need the CEI 0-21 or CEI 0-16 version?
The connection quotation issued by the distributor determines it, indicating the voltage level of the connection point. Low voltage means CEI 0-21 and therefore this panel; medium voltage means CEI 0-16 and a completely different solution, with a delivery substation and main protection on an MV circuit breaker.
Can I connect several inverters to this panel?
At this size, the system is almost always built with several inverters in parallel. The configuration must be defined when ordering: the number of separately protected lines downstream of the interface device depends on how many inverters there are and how they are grouped in the design.
Is the test report sufficient for the operating agreement?
It is one of the required documents, together with the single-line diagram, the installer's declaration of conformity and the inverter certification documentation. The test report specifically covers the calibration of the interface protection system.
What are the delivery times for a panel of this size?
The larger interface panels are assembled and calibrated to order, not kept in stock in the particular configurations. It is advisable to request confirmation of availability at the quotation stage, so as to align delivery with the timing of the connection procedure.
Are the stated dimensions those of the box or of the packaging?
The datasheet measurements (540 × 640 × 240 mm) are those of the enclosure. The dimensions reported for the shipping calculation include the protective packaging and are therefore larger. For positioning on site, refer to the enclosure measurements.
