IAC-RBAT-5KCINV-01
Battery-to-inverter cable set IAC-RBAT-5KCINV-01 for SolarEdge Home 48V storage. This is the version for inverters in the Home Hub line with code SE*K-RWB48 (SE5K, SE8K, SE10K): it is not compatible with StorEdge SE*K-RWS inverters, which require the -02 version. One is required per battery tower.
The IAC-RBAT-5KCINV-01 cable set connects the SolarEdge Home 48V battery tower (BAT-05K48) to the inverter, and is the version intended for Home Hub line inverters, those with code SE*K-RWB48: SE5K-RWB48BFN4, SE8K-RWB48BFN4 and SE10K-RWB48BFN4. It is the cable that completes the power and communication circuit between the storage system and the inverter, so without it the system cannot be commissioned.
Pay attention to the suffix: -01 and -02 are not the same thing
This is the most costly ordering mistake in this family, because it is discovered once the system has been installed. There are two apparently identical battery-to-inverter cable sets:
- IAC-RBAT-5KCINV-01 — for Home Hub inverters, codes SE*K-RWB48 (this item)
- IAC-RBAT-5KCINV-02 — for StorEdge inverters, codes SE*K-RWS
Before ordering, simply read the code on the inverter nameplate: if it contains RWB48, the correct set is this one. If instead it contains RWS, the -02 version is required. They cannot be adapted to each other.
Only one per tower
The inverter connection set is required once per tower, because it connects the inverter to the first module in the column. Connections between the subsequent modules use the battery-to-battery set IAC-RBAT-5KCBAT-01, one for each additional module, and any second tower is connected using the tower-to-tower set IAC-RBAT-5KCTOW-01. The order is completed by the top cover (one per tower) and the floor stand, which is optional.
On the inverter side, it should be remembered that the DC battery cable cross-section is 35 mm² and that the system charging and discharging power is limited to 5.000 W, regardless of the number of modules installed.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know whether I need the -01 set or the -02 set?
Check the inverter code. If it contains the code RWB48, meaning it belongs to the Home Hub line such as SE5K-RWB48BFN4, SE8K-RWB48BFN4 and SE10K-RWB48BFN4, the correct set is IAC-RBAT-5KCINV-01. If the code instead contains RWS, it is a StorEdge inverter and IAC-RBAT-5KCINV-02 is required. The two sets are not interchangeable.
How many sets do I need if I have three battery modules?
Only one of this item, because it connects the inverter to the first module in the tower. To connect the three modules to each other, two IAC-RBAT-5KCBAT-01 battery-to-battery sets are required, i.e. one fewer than the number of batteries. If the batteries are distributed across two towers, the IAC-RBAT-5KCTOW-01 tower-to-tower set must also be added.
Is the set included in the battery supply?
In the SolarEdge datasheet, the accessories for the SolarEdge Home battery are listed as items to be purchased separately. Since package contents may change between versions and batches, it is always advisable to check the packing list upon delivery: this is the simplest way to avoid being held up on site while also avoiding paying twice for the same cable.
Can I make the connection using commercial cables?
No. The connection between the battery and the inverter uses dedicated connectors and includes, in addition to the DC power conductors, the CAN bus communication cable and the grounding cable. Non-original wiring prevents the battery from being recognized during commissioning with SetApp and voids the warranty for both the storage system and the inverter.
Is there a spare connector kit?
Yes. SolarEdge provides code IAC-RBAT-5KCNCT-01, a kit of ten spare connectors for the connection between the battery and the inverter of the low-voltage SolarEdge Home battery, and code IAC-RBAT-5KCNCT-02 for the tower-to-tower connection. They are useful for installers who work regularly and want to keep spare parts in stock for a connector damaged during crimping.
