The SolarEdge IAC-RBAT-RWYCBL-01 Y-cable kit connects multiple SolarEdge Home 48V batteries (Energy Bank) in parallel, managed by the same Home Hub or StorEdge inverter, allowing the capacity of multiple modules to be combined on the same battery DC bus.

Why is a Y-cable needed for batteries in parallel?

When a system includes more than one SolarEdge Home 48V battery connected to the same inverter, the modules are not connected directly in series but via dedicated MC4 Y-connectors: SolarEdge does not approve third-party Y-connectors for this connection, only its official kit or the alternative standard connections indicated in the technical notes.
