IAC-RBAT-5KFSTD-01 floor stand for SolarEdge Home 48V (BAT-05K48) battery towers. Optional accessory, one is required per tower and not one per module: it raises the storage system by 50 mm from the floor, useful against water ingress and on surfaces that are not perfectly level. The tower remains 540 mm wide and 240 mm deep.
The IAC-RBAT-5KFSTD-01 floor stand is the base on which a SolarEdge Home 48V (BAT-05K48) battery tower rests. It is an optional accessory, but in most Italian installations it is the most sensible choice: it raises the tower 50 mm off the floor, levels it on surfaces that are not perfectly even, and keeps it out of water in the event of flooding in the technical room or garage.
One per tower, not one per module
This is the most common ordering mistake for this family. The stand is needed once for each tower, regardless of how many battery modules it contains: a three-module tower requires just one stand, exactly like a one-module tower. If the system includes two towers, two stands must be ordered. The same rule applies to the IAC-RBAT-5KMTOP-01 top cover.
How much space is really needed
The stand affects the final installation height, a figure that must be checked before choosing the wall, especially under a window, under a staircase, or in an attic. These are the values published by SolarEdge for a tower complete with top cover.

The width and depth remain those of the battery module, namely 540 x 240 mm. It is worth remembering that each module weighs 54,7 kg: a three-module tower exceeds 160 kg, so the supporting surface must be assessed, and installation requires more than one person.

How many stands are needed for a three-battery tower?
Just one. The floor stand is required on the basis of one per tower, not one per module: it rests on the floor and the battery modules are stacked on top of it. If the system consists of two separate towers, two stands are needed. The same logic applies to the IAC-RBAT-5KMTOP-01 top cover, also one per tower.
Is it mandatory, or can I place the battery directly on the floor?
SolarEdge indicates it as optional, and the battery also supports wall mounting. In practice, the stand is almost always worthwhile: in a garage or technical room, it raises the tower 50 mm off the floor, which helps in the event of water ingress or floor washing, and makes it easier to level on surfaces that are not perfectly even.
How much height do I need in the room?
With the stand and top cover, a one-module tower reaches 670 mm, a two-module tower 1.170 mm, and a three-module tower 1.670 mm. Without the stand, 50 mm is subtracted in each case. Width and depth remain those of the module, 540 x 240 mm. The clearances specified in the installation manual for ventilation and access to the connections must also be provided.
Is it also suitable for the SolarEdge Energy Bank battery?
No. This stand has code IAC-RBAT-5KFSTD-01 and is specific to the low-voltage SolarEdge Home 48V battery. The Energy Bank battery has its own floor stand with a different code. The two accessories are not interchangeable: when ordering, it is advisable to check the exact code on the datasheet of the battery being installed.
What else is needed to complete the tower?
In addition to the battery modules and this stand, the following are needed: one top cover per tower (IAC-RBAT-5KMTOP-01), a set of cables from the battery to the inverter, which differs depending on whether the inverter is from the Home Hub or StorEdge line, and a set of battery-to-battery cables for each additional module. With multiple towers, the tower-to-tower cable set is also needed. This is the part most often forgotten in orders.
