The Cable-AELIO-HS51 kit provides the DC connection between the SolaX X3-AELIO hybrid inverter and the Triple Power HS51 battery bank. It is a power component, not a mere accessory: all the energy exchanged between storage and inverter travels through this run.
Why you should not improvise with any cable
SolaX documentation specifies a 10 mm2 cross-section for the inverter DC wiring, and that is exactly what this kit provides. The reason is the current involved: the HS51 system works up to 70 A in charge and discharge. An undersized cable heats up, drops voltage along the run and reduces the power actually available on discharge. Beyond the safety risk, it is a direct hit on system performance.
The kit cables arrive pre-terminated with the correct connectors and identified polarity: site time goes down and the most expensive mistake of all, reversed DC polarity, is ruled out.

What to check before ordering
- Distance between inverter and battery tower: the 2 usable metres set how far apart the two units can sit. Measure the actual cable route, not the straight-line distance.
- Number of battery banks: every bank connected to the inverter needs its own DC cable kit.
- Separate accessories: communication cables (BMS to inverter) and inter-module cables inside the tower are distinct items and are not included here.
Frequently asked questions
Does this kit also include the communication cable?
No. Cable-AELIO-HS51 is the DC power connection, i.e. the positive and negative poles. The communication cable between BMS and inverter, which carries battery status data, is a separate item and must be ordered on its own.
Can I use a standard solar cable instead of this kit?
Not advisable. Beyond the 10 mm2 cross-section required by the manufacturer, the original kit guarantees the correct connectors on both ends and a compliant connection for warranty purposes. A self-built cable shifts all liability onto the installer in case of failure.
Are 2 metres enough?
In most installations yes, because inverter and battery tower are mounted side by side or at least in the same technical room. If the design calls for a greater distance, it should be assessed during sizing with technical support: a longer cable means recalculating voltage drop.
How many kits do I need for a two-tower system?
It depends on the configuration. Two towers connected in series through a Series Box form a single bank and need only one kit to the inverter. Two independent battery banks, each with its own BMS, need one kit each.
Does the DC connection need to be isolatable?
Yes, the battery-to-inverter run must be safely isolatable for maintenance, as required by the installation manual and the applicable wiring regulations. Check whether the DC isolator is already built into the inverter or has to be provided externally.
