ZZT-HYD12.0K-ZP3
Three-phase hybrid inverter ZCS Azzurro HYD12.0K-ZP3, maximum size of the Easy Power series, 3 independent MPPTs, ZZT-BAT-ZBT5K battery up to 30,72 kWh. Exceeds the CEI 0-21 threshold of 11,08 kW: requires external panel with DDI.
The ZCS Azzurro HYD12.0K-ZP3 three-phase hybrid inverter (Easy Power series) is the largest size in the ZP3 range, with 3 independent MPPTs and exclusive compatibility with ZZT-BAT-ZBT5K high-voltage batteries, expandable up to 30,72 kWh per system. Unlike the lower sizes in the same series, the 12 kW exceeds the threshold set by the CEI 0-21 standard and requires an external interface device.
Why choose a 12 kW ZP3 three-phase hybrid inverter?
The HYD ZP3 series covers residential and commercial three-phase systems with a modular storage system that can be expanded over time. The 12 kW version is the flagship size of the range, designed for users with high consumption or for commercial systems where more AC power and more storage capacity are needed compared to the 5-10 kW sizes.

Is an external panel required with the 12 kW version?
Yes. Unlike the 6, 8 and 10 kW sizes of the same ZP3 series, which remain below the 11,08 kW threshold set by the CEI 0-21 standard and use the interface protection integrated in the inverter, the 12 kW version exceeds it: an interface device (DDI) with calibrated SPI relay and the relevant test report is required, generally installed in a dedicated external panel. This is an additional cost to consider compared to the lower sizes, which price lists often do not highlight.
What is included in the supply?
- HYD12.0K-ZP3 three-phase hybrid inverter
- 3 current transformers (TA) for reading energy flows
- Integrated DC disconnector
- Installation manual and CEI 0-21 declaration of conformity
The ZZT-BAT-ZBT5K batteries and the panel with external interface device must be ordered separately.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the 12 kW version require an external panel and the others do not?
The CEI 0-21 standard sets the threshold at 11,08 kW: below this value, the interface protection integrated in the inverter is sufficient; above it, an external interface device with calibrated SPI relay and test report is required. The 12 kW of the HYD12.0K-ZP3 exceeds this threshold.
Which batteries does the HYD12.0K-ZP3 work with?
Only with ZZT-BAT-ZBT5K high-voltage batteries (350-435V), expandable up to a total of 30,72 kWh per system by connecting multiple modules.
What is the difference between this and the HYD10.0K-ZP3?
Same platform and same battery compatibility, but higher AC power and nominal current (17,4A versus 14,5A) and the external panel with interface device is mandatory, which is not required on the 10 kW size.
Does the backup also work with unbalanced loads between phases?
Yes, the integrated EPS manages backup even with unbalanced loads on the three phases.
Can I connect multiple ZP3 inverters in parallel?
Yes, up to 6 inverters in parallel for a maximum total power of 36 kVA, suitable for commercial systems with growing requirements.
