ZSM-METER-DDSU

ZCS ZSM-METER-DDSU single-phase meter (DDSU666) for HP series hybrid inverters, bidirectional direct connection measurement up to 80 A without external CTs. RS485 communication, DIN rail mounting.

€78.03 Tax escl.

The ZCS ZSM-METER-DDSU single-phase meter measures the energy drawn from and fed into the grid in systems with ZCS Azzurro HP series hybrid inverters. Unlike three-phase meters, it operates with direct connection up to 80 A, without the need for external current transformers (CTs).

Why is a dedicated meter needed on HP series hybrids?

ZCS hybrid inverters in the HP series do not include standard measurement of withdrawal/feed-in at the point of delivery: the ZSM-METER-DDSU meter provides the inverter with grid exchange data via RS485, required for proper battery charging management, zero feed-in and self-consumption. Up to 2 meters can be connected to the same inverter to monitor different measurement points.

DDSU single-phase or DTSU three-phase: which should you choose?

The abbreviation depends on the type of system, not on a preference: the DDSU measures by direct connection and is designed for single-phase systems up to 80 A without external sensors, while the three-phase DTSU requires 3 dedicated current CTs. Installing the wrong meter on the HP series inverter prevents correct reading of grid exchange data.

What is included in the supply?

  • ZCS DDSU666 single-phase meter with display
  • Provision for mounting on 35 mm DIN rail

Frequently asked questions

Is the ZSM-METER-DDSU also needed on non-hybrid inverters?

Its main function is to support charge/discharge management and zero feed-in on HP series hybrid inverters; on on-grid inverters without a battery, its use is less frequent and should be assessed case by case with the installer.

Are current transformers (CTs) needed to install it?

No: the DDSU666 is direct connection, the current passes directly through the meter up to 80 A, without external CTs to be wired separately.

How many meters can I install on the same inverter?

Up to 2 per inverter, to monitor two separate measurement points (for example, the point of delivery and a dedicated load), both communicating with the inverter via RS485.

What is the difference compared to the ZSM-METER-DTSU?

The DTSU is the three-phase version, with measurement via 3 current CTs; the DDSU is single-phase and measures by direct connection without external sensors. They must be selected according to the type of system and are not interchangeable.

Is it compatible with monitoring from the ZCS app?

Yes, the data read by the meter is transmitted to the inverter via RS485 and made available in the ZCS app and portal together with the other system parameters.
