The ZCS ZSM-4G-EXT external 4G module connects single-phase, three-phase, and hybrid inverters to the ZCS monitoring portal without relying on the home Wi-Fi network. Unlike the USB version, it connects via the external RS232 port/circular connector and is not interchangeable with it.
Why choose 4G monitoring instead of Wi-Fi?
Home Wi-Fi does not always cover the technical room where the inverter is installed, especially in basements, garages, or rooms with thick walls. The external 4G module solves the problem with an independent data connection, with SIM and traffic already included for 10 years: no subscription to activate or renew separately.

ZSM-4G-EXT or ZSM-4G-USB: which should you choose?
The difference is not the 4G coverage, which is identical on both, but the type of physical connection to the inverter: the EXT version uses the external RS232 port/circular connector, while the USB version is inserted into the integrated USB slot. They must be chosen according to the inverter model and the type of port available: they are not interchangeable with each other.
