When is the Total Box TBMF 1/1 600V used?

What is the difference between the TBMF 1/1 600V and the TBMF 1/1 1000V?
The maximum DC voltage differs: the 600V model uses an isolator and surge arrester rated for 600 Vdc, the 1000V model for 1000 Vdc. The choice depends on the open-circuit voltage of the string at the minimum design temperature: above 600 V the 1000V version is required.
Is the TBMF 1/1 600V panel pre-wired or do I have to assemble it?
It arrives already wired and certified: isolator, SPD, fuse holders and residual current breaker are mounted and connected to the input and output terminal blocks. It only needs to be wall-mounted and connected to the PV string and to the AC line.
What does the DC side of this panel protect?
