The QIT100-2 is the SecSun interface panel for industrial and commercial 100 kWp photovoltaic systems with 2 three-phase inverters in parallel. Designed and manufactured in Italy, it complies with the CEI 0-21 and CEI EN 61439-1/2 standards and is supplied complete with the SPI test report, the technical document required by the Italian grid operators to validate the interface protection.
When is the QIT100-2 mandatory?
The CEI 0-21 standard requires an interface protection system (SPI) for all LV-connected photovoltaic systems above 11.08 kW. The QIT100-2 is the right solution for 100 kWp installations with two three-phase inverters, typically large industrial warehouses, commercial rooftops, agro-industrial facilities and medium-to-large ground-mounted systems.

Three-phase inverter compatibility
The QIT100-2 is compatible with any pair of three-phase photovoltaic inverters up to 50 kW each (100 kW total), regardless of brand: Huawei SUN2000, SMA Sunny Tripower, Fronius Symo, Solax X3, Sungrow SG, ABB/FIMER, GoodWe ET, Growatt MAX and others. The CEI 0-21 interface protection acts on the AC side independently of the brand of the connected inverters.

Frequently asked questions
Is the QIT100-2 already wired or does it require on-site assembly?
The QIT100-2 is supplied fully pre-wired and factory-tested. On site the installer only needs to connect the cables from the two inverters and those to the grid, following the single-line diagram included in the supply. No internal assembly of the panel is required.
What is the SPI test report and why is it mandatory?
The SPI test report is the document certifying the correct operation of the interface relay according to the CEI 0-21 standard. It is a mandatory document required by the Italian grid operators to approve the connection of large photovoltaic systems. MR WATT includes the completed test report with the QIT100-2.
Does the QIT100-2 work with two inverters of different brands?
Yes. The CEI 0-21 interface panel acts on the AC side of the system independently of the inverter brand. It is therefore possible to connect two three-phase inverters of different brands to the QIT100-2 (e.g. a Huawei and an SMA), as long as the total power is compatible with the panel rating. Check with MR WATT for particular mixed configurations.
Which documents are needed for the grid application with the QIT100-2?
For the grid operator / GSE application the following are required: the SPI test report (included in the supply), the CEI EN 61439-1/2 declaration of conformity (included), the single-line diagram of the system including the panel, and the technical documentation of the inverters. MR WATT provides all the documentation for the QIT100-2 on delivery.
Can I use the QIT100-2 for a system with 3 inverters of 33 kW each?
No. The QIT100-2 is sized for 2 three-phase inverters. For a system with 3 inverters you need the QIT100-3 (if available) or the QIT200-3 depending on the total power. Contact MR WATT to configure the correct interface panel for your system layout.
