TBMF 2/2 1000V
Total Box TBMF 2/2 1000V panel: a combined solution integrating DC-side and AC-side protection of a single-phase photovoltaic system with 2 independent strings up to 1000 Vdc. It includes a 1000V load-break isolator, a Type 2 SPD surge arrester, 1000V fuse holder bases with 16/20A gPV fuses and a 32A single-phase class A residual current circuit breaker. IP65 enclosure with 36 DIN modules, compliant with the Italian CEI 0-21, CEI EN 61439 and CEI 64-8 standards.
The Total Box TBMF 2/2 1000V panel by Icierre is a combined enclosure bringing together all the protections a single-phase photovoltaic system with two strings up to 1000 Vdc needs: it safely manages both the photovoltaic module strings (DC side) and the connection to the grid (AC side), reducing footprint and wiring time.
Why do you need a Total Box string panel?
Every photovoltaic system must be protected against overcurrents, surges and insulation faults, and must be capable of being safely isolated for maintenance. The Total Box TBMF 2/2 1000V integrates all these devices in a single certified panel, in compliance with the Italian CEI 0-21, CEI EN 61439 and CEI 64-8 standards.

When is the Total Box TBMF 2/2 1000V used?
It suits single-phase photovoltaic systems with two independent strings and open-circuit voltage up to 1000 Vdc, typically residential and small commercial installations spread over two roof pitches or orientations. For a single string see the TBMF 1/1 1000V; for three-phase systems, the TBTF range.
What is included
- Total Box TBMF 2/2 1000V panel in an IP65 36-module enclosure, pre-wired and certified
- 1000V load-break isolator, Type 2 SPD and fuse holders with gPV fuses on the DC side
- Residual current circuit breaker and 230V SPD on the AC side
- Input/output terminal blocks and component identification labels on plastic-coated rails
Frequently asked questions
Can I connect two strings with different orientations?
Yes: the TBMF 2/2 handles two independent strings, each with its own fuse protection and separate input/output. This is the typical configuration for roofs with two pitches or different orientations, where the strings work at non-aligned currents and voltages.
Is the TBMF 2/2 1000V panel pre-wired or do I have to assemble it?
It arrives already wired and certified: isolator, SPD, fuse holders and residual current breaker are mounted and connected to the terminal blocks. It only needs to be wall-mounted and connected to the two strings and to the AC line.
What does the DC side of this panel protect?
The DC side integrates a 1000V load-break isolator to safely open the strings, a Type 2 SPD surge arrester against indirect lightning strikes and 1000V fuse holder bases with 16/20A gPV fuses protecting each string from reverse currents.
What protection is provided on the AC side?
The AC side features a single-phase 32A curve C residual current circuit breaker rated 300mA class A, suitable for the DC component of photovoltaic inverters, plus a 230V Type 2 SPD protecting the line towards the inverter and the grid.
Which documents are needed for the grid connection?
The connection application to the network operator normally requires the single-line diagram, the declaration of conformity and the rating data of the installed protections. Being a certified panel with labelled components, the Total Box simplifies this paperwork.
