The Solax Series Box is the original Solax Power accessory essential for expanding the Triple Power HV storage system beyond the limit of a single tower. It allows you to configure Solax photovoltaic storage with two columns (towers) of batteries while maintaining the correct high-voltage series connection between the modules. It is compatible with T-BAT-SYS-HV-S2.5 and T-BAT-SYS-HV-S3.6 battery modules and with Solax hybrid inverters from the X1-Hybrid G4, X3-Hybrid G4, X1-FIT G4, X3-FIT G4, and X3-Ultra series.

When is the Solax Series Box needed?

A single Solax Triple Power HV battery tower can host a maximum of 9 stacked modules. When the system sizing requires a higher capacity — up to a maximum of 13 modules for a total of 47.9 kWh per three-phase inverter stack — it is mandatory to distribute the modules over two parallel towers. The Series Box provides all the components needed to create this configuration in compliance with the manufacturer's specifications.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Solax Series Box mandatory?

The Series Box is required when the Solax Triple Power HV storage system exceeds 9 battery modules per stack: in that case, the modules must be distributed over two parallel towers, and the Series Box provides the electrical and mechanical components to create the configuration. On X3 IES systems, some configurations require it starting from 4 batteries.

Is the Series Box compatible with both HV-S2.5 and HV-S3.6?

Yes. The Solax Series Box is compatible with both battery modules of the Triple Power HV family: the T-BAT-SYS-HV-S2.5 (2.5 kWh) and the T-BAT-SYS-HV-S3.6 (3.6 kWh). It is not compatible with the low-voltage T-BAT series or with T58 batteries.

What is the difference between the Solax Series Box and the BMS MASTER BOX MCS0800?

They are two distinct and complementary accessories. The BMS MASTER BOX MCS0800 is the battery management system, mandatory for each HV module tower. The Series Box is used to connect a second tower to the first when the maximum stack capacity is exceeded. In dual-tower configurations, both accessories are required.

Does the Series Box include the base for the second tower?

Yes. The package includes an additional ground support base, as well as all DC power and communication (CAN/RS485) cables already pre-wired to ensure plug-and-play installation and a safe series connection between the two battery columns.

Can the Series Box be installed outdoors?

Yes. The Solax Series Box has an IP65 protection rating, the same as the T-BAT-SYS-HV-S battery modules, and can be installed both indoors and outdoors, in accordance with the Solax installation manual. For outdoor installations, it is still recommended to protect it from direct exposure to heavy rain and sunlight to preserve the durability of the components.
