While the kit is designed for simplified installation — connecting panels to the inverter and the inverter in parallel to the 230V household circuit — it is always advisable to involve a qualified electrician to ensure electrical safety, proper earthing and regulatory compliance. The CEI 0-21 compliant inverter includes automatic anti-islanding protection, disconnecting from the grid during power outages.

Thanks to CEI 0-21 compliance and panel power below 800Wp, only the simplified single notification to the local grid operator (ENEL Distribuzione or equivalent DSO) is required. No building permit, GSE registration or Gaudì procedure is needed for this category of system. For systems between 351W and 800W AC output, a Declaration of Conformity is also required.

An 800Wp system produces approximately: Northern Italy 700–950 kWh/year, Central Italy 950–1,100 kWh/year, Southern Italy and Islands 1,100–1,300 kWh/year. For other European locations, the PVGIS tool (free EU Commission simulator) provides precise estimates. At an average energy cost of around €0.37/kWh, estimated annual savings range from €260 to €480 depending on location and self-consumption.

CEI 0-21 is the mandatory Italian technical standard for connecting generation systems to the low-voltage distribution grid. Compliance ensures the inverter meets all grid protection requirements, including automatic anti-islanding disconnection during power outages — protecting both grid operators and maintenance personnel. It is a legal requirement for all grid-connected systems in Italy.
