How much can I save?

An 800W system produces 950–1,200 kWh/year. With the Marstek B2500 battery, self-consumption rises above 90%, with an estimated annual saving of €350–440/year depending on location. Payback in 18–24 months.

VAT and tax incentives

In Italy this kit qualifies for reduced 10% VAT and a 50% IRPEF tax deduction in 10 annual instalments via the "Bonus Ristrutturazione" scheme.

Frequently asked questions

Does adding a battery to a balcony kit really make sense?

Yes, if your consumption is concentrated in the evening or at night. Without storage, surplus daytime energy is fed to the grid for free. With the Marstek B2500 (2.2 kWh), self-consumption rises above 90% and annual savings increase by €100–150 compared to a kit without storage.

Can I expand the storage capacity in the future?

Yes. The Marstek B2500 battery is modular: additional units can be daisy-chained to reach higher total capacities, without modifying the micro-inverter or existing system.

Do I need planning permission to install this kit on my balcony?

No. Italian Civil Code art. 1122-bis permits solar panel installation on private property (balcony, railing) without condominium assembly approval, provided it does not significantly alter the building's structure or appearance. It is good practice to inform the building manager.
