This pitched roof mounting kit is designed to install 1 solar panel (up to 115 cm wide) on sloped roofs with tiles. Unlike flat-roof structures, it doesn't require ballast: it's fixed to the roof deck using hooks, resulting in a lighter system that also works on surfaces that aren't perfectly flat.
How mounting on tile roofs works
The aluminium hooks slide under the tiles and are fixed to the roof deck (battens or rafters) with self-tapping screws not included. Once the tile is repositioned, just enough of the hook remains exposed to attach the rails on which the panel is mounted, either vertically or horizontally depending on preference.
