DataHub1000
The Solax DataHub1000 is the centralized communication and control gateway for Solax commercial and industrial photovoltaic systems: it manages up to 60 inverters, enables intelligent export control (zero feed-in), batch operations (mass configuration and firmware updates), and SCADA integration via IEC 104. 4 RS485 ports, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, auxiliary I/O. Wall or DIN rail installation. IP21, dimensions 205 × 124 × 33 mm, 24-month warranty.
The Solax DataHub1000 is the centralized communication and control gateway from Solax Power, designed for commercial and industrial (C&I) photovoltaic systems with multiple inverters. In a single unit, it integrates multi-inverter monitoring, intelligent export control (zero feed-in), batch configuration and firmware updates, support for the IEC 104 protocol for integration with SCADA and utility systems, and on-board data storage. It manages up to 60 Solax inverters from a single device.
What is the DataHub1000 for?
When a photovoltaic system is no longer just “one inverter and done” and becomes a mini power plant with multiple string inverters in parallel, you need a device that:
- aggregates all operational data and makes it available in a single dashboard (local and cloud)
- enforces real-time grid feed-in limits required by the utility (export limitation)
- allows setup, parameterization, and firmware updates on all inverters at once
- communicates with third-party EMS, SCADA, and DSO systems via industrial protocols
The DataHub1000 does exactly this: it is the “central brain” typical of Solax C&I installations up to about 1 MW of string inverters.
Main features
- Centralized monitoring of up to 60 Solax inverters from a single web dashboard
- Intelligent export control (zero feed-in / feed-in limitation) with Total or Per Phase control
- Batch operations: configuration, Modbus register read/write, firmware updates on all inverters in parallel
- DRM control (Demand Response Mode) and ripple control for advanced grid compliance
- Smart Scene: programmable conditional rules (IF/THEN logic on input/output)
- On-board data storage via optional 8G/16G TF card — data remains available even if the cloud is offline
- Web UI accessible via browser (http://datahub.local/) for local configuration and diagnostics
- SolaxCloud cloud integration for remote supervision
- IEC 104 support for integration with utility and grid operator SCADA systems
- Auxiliary I/O: 4 digital inputs (DI), 4 digital outputs (DO), 2 analog inputs (AI) for integration of alarms, dry contacts, and external sensors

Compatible Solax inverters
The DataHub1000 is compatible with commercial and industrial (C&I) Solax inverters and with most new-generation string models connectable via RS485 Modbus:
- Commercial three-phase inverters: X3-MIC G2, X3-Pro G2, X3-Mega G2, X3-Forth (up to 125 kW)
- Hybrid and retrofit inverters: X1/X3-Hybrid G4, X1/X3-FIT G4 (with proper configuration)
For the export control function, a compatible three-phase meter is required (for example, Chint DDSU666 on DIN-rail) and, for large busbar installations, current transformers such as Eastron 1500A CT.
Typical use cases
- Commercial rooftop installations on industrial warehouses with 5–60 Solax inverter strings in parallel, where a single grid feed-in point must be managed
- Zero feed-in required for authorization sizing or local DSO requirements
- Energy communities and shared plants where multiple inverters feed a single POD
- Integration with utility SCADA via IEC 104 (plants subject to remote control)
- Scheduled maintenance: mass firmware updates during a single intervention window
Wiring and installation
The DataHub1000 is installed on the wall (with the included 4 M3 holes) or on a 35 mm DIN rail (length ≥ 230 mm). Main operational guidelines:
- RS485 communication to inverters: connect RS485+ to RS485+, RS485- to RS485-, GND to GND. It is recommended not to exceed 20 devices per RS485 port and to keep baud rate, protocol, and parity uniform across the line
- Ethernet communication: shielded Cat 5e cable with shielded RJ45 connector; maximum length 100 m
- Wi-Fi: max distance 150 m in open space, 20 m with walls (max 3 walls between device and router)
- For outdoor installations, an additional waterproof enclosure is mandatory (DataHub is IP21)
Frequently Asked Questions
How many inverters can I manage with a single DataHub1000?
Up to 60 Solax inverters from a single DataHub1000. The recommended distribution is no more than 20 devices per RS485 port (the DataHub has 4), to ensure communication stability and reasonable polling times.
Does the DataHub1000 provide export control / zero feed-in?
Yes. The DataHub1000 implements intelligent export control with two modes: Total (limit on total three-phase feed-in, with phase compensation) and Per Phase (limit per single phase). To activate the function, a compatible three-phase meter is required (for example, Chint DDSU666 on DIN-rail) and, for large busbars, Eastron 1500A current transformers. This function is essential for systems subject to zero feed-in requirements.
What is the difference between DataHub1000 and Pocket WiFi/LAN dongles?
Pocket dongles (Pocket WiFi 3.0, Pocket LAN 3.0, Pocket WiFi+LAN) are accessories for single residential inverters: they are inserted into the DONGLE port of the inverter and bring the data of that single inverter to SolaxCloud. The DataHub1000 is a higher-class device, AC powered, designed for C&I systems with up to 60 inverters in parallel: it manages export control, batch operations, SCADA integration via IEC 104. They are complementary, not alternatives: you choose one or the other based on the complexity of the system.
Does it support industrial protocols for SCADA integration?
Yes. The DataHub1000 exposes data via Modbus TCP and supports the IEC 104 protocol, the remote control standard used by many utilities and grid operators. This makes it suitable for systems subject to remote control or integrated into third-party SCADA/EMS platforms.
Can I install it outdoors?
The DataHub1000 has a IP21 protection rating, so it is designed for indoor installation (electrical panel, technical room). For outdoor installations, a dedicated waterproof enclosure is mandatory to protect it from rain and dust. Never leave it directly exposed to the elements.
What happens to the data if the internet connection goes down?
The DataHub1000 features local storage on an optional TF card (8 GB / 16 GB) and on internal memory. In the absence of a connection, data is stored and automatically uploaded to SolaxCloud when the network is restored. Export control and Smart Scene functions continue to operate independently even if the cloud is offline.
How do I access the configuration interface?
Access is via web browser: with the PC on the same network as the DataHub, navigate to http://datahub.local/ (requires a router with mDNS and DHCP support) or directly to the device’s IP address. The initial credentials are admin and a password matching the Registration Number; it is recommended to change them on first access.
