Huawei EMMA-A02 Smart Energy Manager

The Huawei EMMA-A02 is the smart energy management assistant for single-phase and three-phase PV systems: it optimises production, self-consumption, storage and home loads, coordinating inverter and batteries through FusionSolar. Up to 63 A (higher with 50 mA CTs).

The Huawei EMMA-A02 (Energy Management Assistant) is the intelligent energy management device for Huawei photovoltaic systems, compatible with both single-phase and three-phase installations. It coordinates inverter, batteries and home loads to maximise self-consumption and optimise the household's energy flows.

What is the EMMA-A02 for?

The EMMA is the "energy brain" of the system: it collects production, consumption and storage data and intelligently manages priorities — when to store energy in the battery, when to power loads, when to feed the grid. It enables advanced functions such as schedulable load management and wallbox integration, all monitored from the FusionSolar app.

When do you need the EMMA-A02?

It is intended for systems that want advanced energy management: coordination of multiple devices (inverter, storage, wallbox, loads), hourly self-consumption optimisation and centralised supervision. It is the component that takes a Huawei system from "generation + storage" to "intelligent management of the whole home's energy".

Frequently asked questions

Does the EMMA-A02 work with both single-phase and three-phase systems?

Yes. The EMMA-A02 adapts to both single-phase and three-phase systems, measuring directly up to 63 A and beyond with the addition of external 50 mA CTs.

What is the difference between EMMA and a smart meter?

A smart meter measures energy at the connection point. The EMMA goes further: it is an energy manager that uses that data to actively coordinate inverter, battery and loads, optimising self-consumption and enabling smart functions such as load and EV-charging management.

How is it monitored?

Through the Huawei FusionSolar app, which shows energy flows, self-consumption and storage status in real time and lets you set the management strategies.

Is an installer required?

Yes. The EMMA-A02 integrates into the electrical panel and the Huawei ecosystem: installation and configuration must be carried out by qualified personnel following the manufacturer's instructions.

What should be checked on delivery?

Check that the packaging, model and supplied items of the Huawei EMMA-A02 match the order and show no visible damage. Keep the manual and documents, and do not energise the product if the enclosure or connectors are damaged.
