ZCS Azzurro RFID card for wallbox
RFID card to authorise charging on ZCS Azzurro wallboxes, in online and offline mode. Useful in shared car parks, at the workplace and wherever several people can access the station. Part number ZVA-RFID-CARD.
The ZCS Azzurro ZVA-RFID-CARD is the card that authorises charging on ZCS wallboxes: you hold the card to the station reader and charging starts only if the card is authorised. It works both in offline mode, with cards registered directly on the station, and in online mode, with access managed by a back-end system.
Why use an RFID card
In Plug&Play mode anyone who plugs in a car can charge. That is fine in a private garage, much less so in a shared residential car park, a company car park or a hotel: there the RFID card decides who can charge and, with online management, lets you assign each session to a user. It is also the simplest way to give access to a family member or colleague without sharing an app.

Online and offline: the difference

Frequently asked questions
Does the card work with other brands of wallbox?
The card uses the Mifare ISO/IEC 14443 standard found on many readers, but authorisation depends on registration on the specific station or its management system. Compatibility is guaranteed with ZCS Azzurro wallboxes.
How many cards do I need?
One for each user to be identified, plus a spare. In a shared building it is best to assign one card per parking space, so every charging session can be traced to whoever started it.
What happens if I lose a card?
Remove the card from the list of authorised cards on the station or in the management system: from then on it no longer starts charging.
Is the card needed in Plug&Play mode?
No. In Plug&Play charging starts when the cable is connected. The card is used when you want to restrict access to the station.
How is a new card registered?
By following the wallbox configuration procedure (from the display on models that have one, or with the ZCS configuration tools) or, in online mode, from the remote management system.
