80Wp off-grid photovoltaic kit for remote locations
The STARTER+80 off-grid solar kit, 80 Wp at 12V, lets you build a small standalone system for light loads. The controller's dusk function switches the load on automatically at sunset: ideal for LED lights, gates and small devices in remote locations.
The STARTER+80 off-grid solar kit, 80 Wp at 12V, lets you build a small standalone system to power light loads where the grid does not reach. The charge controller features a dusk-to-dawn function that automatically switches the load on at sunset: ideal for LED lights, gates, pumps and small devices.

How the STARTER+80 kit works
The 80 Wp panel charges the AGM battery through the PWM 10A controller, which protects the battery and manages automatic load switching at dusk. The energy directly powers small 12V DC loads. Full self-consumption system, with no grid feed-in and no paperwork.
What the kit includes
- 80 Wp solar panel
- PWM 10A charge controller with dusk function
- AGM lead-acid battery 42 Ah
- MC4 connectors for the panel
Ideal applications
LED lighting for cabins, garden sheds and shelters, gate operation, powering pumps and surveillance systems in areas not served by the national grid.
Frequently asked questions
What is the dusk-to-dawn function for?
It automatically switches the load (for example the lights) on at sunset and off at dawn, with no manual switches: useful for security lighting and light points in remote areas.
What can I power with 80 Wp?
Light 12V loads such as a few LED lights, a small pump, a surveillance system or device charging. The ~250 Wh usable capacity provides several hours of autonomy.
How much energy does it produce per year?
Estimated yield ranges from about 90 kWh in northern regions up to 130 kWh in sunnier areas, depending on solar irradiation and panel orientation.
Can I use 230V appliances?
The kit is designed for 12V loads. For 230V appliances you need to add a small inverter, bearing in mind the limited battery capacity.
Does the kit require permits or paperwork?
No. As a standalone self-consumption system it does not feed energy into the grid and requires no notification to the network operator.
