Terracotta Solar Panel 400W Bifacial RAL 8001
Eurener MEPV Terracotta 400W module in the bifacial double-glass version, with TOPCon N-Type cells and RAL 8001 finish for building integration on clay-tile roofs.
20.02% efficiency, up to 440 Wp with a 10% bifacial gain, 1762 x 1134 x 30 mm, 25.5 kg. 25-year product warranty and 30-year linear warranty.
The Eurener MEPV Terracotta 400W solar panel is the bifacial double-glass version of the Eurener BIPV range: bifacial TOPCon N-Type cells, RAL 8001 front glass and frame to blend into clay-tile roofing, and a clear tempered rear glass that harvests reflected light.
Bifacial and terracotta: who it is for
This is the right module when the aesthetic constraint is there but the available surface is limited. Compared with the single-sided MEPV 375 you gain 25 Wp per module and, on light-coloured roofs or ground installations with high albedo, the rear side adds up to 10% more output (440 Wp equivalent). The 2+2 mm glass-glass structure removes the backsheet, lowers annual degradation and extends the product warranty to 25 years.

How much does an MEPV 400 Terracotta array produce?
With 10 modules you get 4 kWp over about 20 m2 of roof. On a south-facing roof in central Italy the indicative output is 5,600-6,000 kWh per year in single-sided configuration; on a light-coloured roof or a canopy the rear contribution can add a further 5-10%. Mind the current: with an Isc of 14.34 A per module, check the rating of the inverter's MPPT inputs before paralleling strings.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between MEPV 375 and MEPV 400 Terracotta?
The MEPV 375 is single-sided with a 3.2 mm front glass and backsheet, measures 1722 mm and weighs 20.5 kg. The MEPV 400 is a 2+2 mm bifacial double glass, measures 1762 mm, weighs 25.5 kg and rises from 19.2% to 20.02% efficiency, with the product warranty extended from 20 to 25 years. The 400 yields more but is heavier: check the load capacity of the structure.
Does the bifacial gain work on a pitched roof too?
Only partly. On a co-planar roof the light reaching the rear is minimal and the real gain stops at 1-3%. The stated 10% is achieved with reflective surfaces under the module (light membrane, gravel, concrete) and at least 15-20 cm of stand-off from the mounting plane: typically ground installations, canopies and ballasted flat roofs.
Is the 14.34 A Isc compatible with my inverter?
Most residential inverters accept 15-16 A per MPPT, so a single string is no problem. If you plan two strings in parallel on the same tracker you must however check the maximum short-circuit current allowed per input, taking into account the bifacial contribution too (Isc up to 15.77 A).
Is the clear rear glass noticeable from the ground?
No: from outside you only see the front, which is RAL 8001 like the frame. The clear glass is on the rear and stays facing the roof, so the overall look of the roof is identical to that of the single-sided terracotta module.
Which warranties are included?
25 years product warranty (extendable by 5 years for Eurener Premium Partners) and 30 years linear power warranty, with 2% degradation in the first year and 0.55% per year, for a guaranteed residual power of 82.05% in year 30. The module is certified to IEC 61215, IEC 61730, IEC 61701 salt mist, IEC 62716 ammonia and IEC TS 62804 PID.
