Smart Dongle WLAN-FE Huawei Wi-Fi Ethernet
The Huawei WLAN-FE Smart Dongle connects SUN2000 inverters to the local network via Wi-Fi or Fast Ethernet for system monitoring and management through FusionSolar. Plug & Play, IP65 rated, supports up to 10 inverters.
The Huawei WLAN-FE Smart Dongle is the communication module that connects Huawei SUN2000 photovoltaic inverters to the local network via Wi-Fi or Fast Ethernet, for monitoring, control and management of the system through the FusionSolar platform.
When do you need the WLAN-FE Smart Dongle?
It is the ideal choice when the inverter is in a spot reached by the home Wi-Fi network or an Ethernet cable. It transmits production and consumption data to the FusionSolar cloud, allowing system control from app and web with no mobile data costs.

Frequently asked questions
WLAN dongle or 4G dongle — which is better?
It depends on the connectivity at the installation point. The WLAN-FE uses the local network's Wi-Fi or Ethernet (no data traffic cost). The 4G Smart Dongle uses the mobile network with a SIM, ideal where there is no Wi-Fi.
Can I use Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi?
Yes. The WLAN-FE dongle supports Fast Ethernet (FE): connecting a network cable to the inverter gives a more stable connection than Wi-Fi, useful where the wireless signal is weak.
Which inverters is it compatible with?
It is compatible with Huawei SUN2000 inverters and can manage the connection of up to 10 inverters in cascade, depending on the configuration.
Is it difficult to install?
No, it is Plug & Play: it plugs into the inverter's communication port and is configured from the FusionSolar app. Access to the inverter is still best handled by the installer.
