Important: connection rules in Italy
CEI 0-21 compliance of the microinverter concerns the technical connection requirements, but does not by itself make an 800 W installation “Plug & Play”. Under the TICA rules, the Plug & Play category is reserved for installations with nominal active power not exceeding 350 W.
The simplified Comunicazione Unica procedure is provided, subject to the conditions set by ARERA, for generation installations with nominal power below 800 W. For photovoltaic systems, for TICA procedural purposes ARERA considers the nominal power of the installation on the basis of the sum of the peak powers of the PV modules. Therefore, the AC rating of the inverter alone - or any software output limitation - is not sufficient to determine the applicable administrative procedure.
Before connection, the complete system configuration, module nominal power, connection point and documentation required by the local DSO must therefore be verified.
