It is a mechanical accessory: the charging station is not included, nor is the foundation, which must be provided separately.
The Alfen Eve Double Pole ground mount is the pole on which the Alfen Eve Double charging station is mounted when no wall is available. It is the typical solution for company car parks, outdoor residential parking and parking areas where the charger has to stand between two spaces and serve both.
An accessory, not a wallbox
This product is the mount only: the Eve Double station, with its two sockets or two charging cables, is sold separately. The pole brings the station to a comfortable height for the user and makes it accessible from both sides, which is why the Double version, with two charge points, works best installed on the ground between two bays.

What to plan on site
A charger pole needs three things the mount does not provide. The first is the foundation: a concrete footing sized to withstand impacts and overturning, with anchor bolts positioned before pouring. The second is the underground conduit bringing the supply cable to the base of the pole, and possibly the network cable if load balancing or remote management are used. The third is mechanical protection: in a car park a free-standing pole should be protected by a kerb or bollards, because a manoeuvring car can damage it.
Define all this at design stage, together with the cable cross-section: an Eve Double supplying two cars at 22 kW each needs a line sized accordingly, and replacing a cable that is already buried costs far more than laying the right one the first time.

Is it compatible with the Eve Single?
No, this mount is designed for the Eve Double station. For the Eve Single, Alfen offers a dedicated mount, the Single Pole.
Is the foundation included?
No. The footing or foundation base must be built or purchased separately, following Alfen's mounting instructions.
Can it be installed on existing asphalt or paving?
Fixing always requires a solid, anchored base: on asphalt or permeable paving a footing is built below the surface. Anchoring with plugs into the paving alone does not ensure stability in case of impact.
Does the cable run inside the pole?
The supply comes from below through the underground conduit to the base of the mount; the routing up to the station must follow the Alfen installation manual.
Is a pole mandatory to install an Eve Double?
No, the station can also be wall-mounted. The pole is needed when there is no wall, or when the wall is too far from the bays to be served.
