Alfen Eve Single Plus 22 kW T2 shutter socket
Alfen Eve Single Plus three-phase wallbox, 22 kW (32 A), with shuttered Type 2 socket and LED status indication. RFID, daisy-chain Ethernet, OCPP, ISO 15118 ready, IP55 and IK10. Alfen part number 904460225.
The Alfen Eve Single Plus 3PH T2S (Alfen part number 904460225) is the 22 kW three-phase wallbox with shuttered Type 2 socket, the shutter that closes the contacts when the socket is not in use. Instead of a display it has an LED status indicator. It keeps everything else of the Single Plus: RFID reader, daisy-chain Ethernet, OCPP and ISO 15118 readiness.
Shutter: when it is the right choice
The shutter prevents access to the socket's live parts and protects it from dust, dirt and small objects. Several national requirements and many specifications for publicly accessible locations call for it: hotel and restaurant car parks, healthcare facilities, schools, areas where children pass by. Site requirements should be checked with the designer. For the user nothing changes: the shutter opens when the plug is inserted.
LED instead of display
In a public car park the information that matters is simple: the station is free, it is charging, there is a fault. The LED indicator shows it at a glance, even from a distance. Charging details remain available through the operator's OCPP platform.

Frequently asked questions
How does it differ from the Single Plus T2?
The T2 has a standard socket and a 3.5" colour display; the T2S has a shuttered socket and an LED indicator. Power, communication and protection rating are the same.
Do standard cables work with the shuttered socket?
Yes, the socket is a normal Type 2 to IEC 62196-2: any Type 2 to Type 2 cable fits and opens the shutter.
Can charging be paid for?
Yes, by connecting the wallbox to an OCPP platform that manages RFID cards and session billing.
How much does a car charge in an hour?
It depends on the on-board charger: with an 11 kW car about 11 kWh, i.e. 55-70 km of range; with a 22 kW car twice that. A two-hour restaurant stop is enough for a good top-up.
What supply is needed?
400 V three-phase with 32 A per phase to work at 22 kW. If less power is available, the current is limited in the configuration or by a load management system.
