The Alfen Eve Single Plus 3PH Cable (Alfen part number 904460227) is the 22 kW three-phase wallbox of Alfen's new platform in the version prepared for a fixed Type 2 charging cable. In our supply the cable is not included: you pair it with the cable length that best suits the parking space. It has a 3.5" colour display, RFID reader, two Ethernet ports for daisy chaining and the OCPP protocol.
Why a tethered wallbox
With a tethered cable charging takes one move: unhook the connector and plug it into the car. No cable to dig out of the boot, no risk of forgetting it. It is the most convenient solution for the home garage and for company car parks where each space has its own wallbox. Compared with the socket version you gain day-to-day convenience, provided there is a holder to coil the cable.

22 kW: what it means for your car
The wallbox delivers up to 22 kW, but the car charges at the maximum accepted by its on-board charger. Many electric cars accept 11 kW three-phase AC, some 22 kW, and plug-in hybrids often only 3.7-7.4 kW. At 11 kW you add roughly 55-70 km of range per hour of charging; at 22 kW, with a compatible car, twice that. A 22 kW wallbox is also a choice that does not age when you change car.
Frequently asked questions
Is the cable included?
No, in this version the fixed Type 2 charging cable is bought separately; the wallbox is prepared for its connection. If you prefer to use your own cable, there is the Type 2 socket version.
Is a three-phase supply needed?
To work at 22 kW, yes: 400 V three-phase with 32 A per phase. With a smaller supply the current is limited in the configuration or by load management.
Can it be linked to a solar PV system?
The Alfen platform supports smart charging inputs from a meter and an energy management system: combined with an EMS or an external meter, charging adapts to consumption and production.
Can it be installed outdoors?
Yes, with IP55 and IK10 it is suitable for outdoor use; Alfen still recommends a sheltered position to preserve the housing's appearance over time.
Does it work without internet?
Yes, in Plug&Power mode or with locally registered RFID cards. The connection is needed for OCPP management, firmware updates and remote monitoring.
